Let’s unite as Jews and concerned citizens to defeat antisemitisim on the web

December 24th, 2009

Israeli FlagDear Friends,

Recently, the internet has seen an explosion in anti-semetic websites with top 10 rankings for specific keywords. Jewish organizations such as the ADL have put pressure on the major search providers to remove these offending sites however citing the “comprehensiveness” of their listings they have decided to instead post disclaimers next to the sites.

If you are unfamiliar with these hate listings just type “Jew” into google.com and see what appears. These troubling sites have used sophisticated search engine optimization techniques to rise to the top in the listings. It’s shocking and very disturbing.

The Good News:

We can beat these anti-semites at their own game by using the same white hat search engine optimization techniques that allowed them to rise to the top! We have recently studied some of top anti-semetic listings and found that they are ranked high for two important reasons.

1. The amount of content they contain.

2. The number of quality inbound links pointing at them.

The Plan to Defeat Them:

1. We will provide unique content for the search engines to feast on. But we NEED YOUR HELP on the rest. Only by you participating in this mitzvah can we truly push these listings to where they belong, deep into abyss of Google and the rest of the search engines.

2. If you have a Facebook, Twitter, My Space or any other social networking site please bookmark and tweet us and then message your friends to do the same.

3. Bookmark our site at Digg, Delicious, Stumbleupon or one of the many other social bookmarking sites and then have your friends vote for us.

4. If you have a blog or your own website place the following html link on your site. Preferably on the homepage or a page that has a decent Google pagerank.

Jew

You can replace the anchor text Jew” with other words such as Jewish, Judaica, Jewish Books, Jewish Gifts, Israel or any other jewish related term.

5. If you post on forums or comment on blogs use the link above in your signature.

6. Contact your synagogue, church or other concerned organization and have them place a link to us on their site.

United together we can once and for all defeat anti-semitism on the net!

Jericho

March 9th, 2010

Jericho
Israel Vibration is one of the last of the many great reggae harmony groups that emerged in the 1970s, a period during which “cultural” (i.e., religious and political) messages and slow, minorkey melodies dominated the music. On Jericho, the group is reduced to a duo (Cecil “Skelly” Spence and Lacelle “Wiss” Bulgin), though they are still supported by the cream of Jamaica’s studio crop, including Roots Radics bassist Earl “Flabba” Holt, drummer Sly Dunbar, and an allstar horn section comprised of Dean Fraser, Junior “Chico” Chin, and Nambo Robinson. As is always the case with Israel Vibration, the melodies tend to be a bit dry; there are no hooks to speak of, and while that may be intentional and fully in line with the group’s social seriousness, it gets a little bit tiresome sometimes. “Gang Bang Slam” benefits from a great horn section, and “Trouble” is pretty singable. Among the more austere material, there’s no denying the incantatory power of “Lost Souls.” Recommended.

What is the true cause of anti semitism?

March 9th, 2010

I need and article(or maybe a simple answer-don’t forget to site your source) of the real cause of anti semitsm.

I had read an article by a jewish author treating this very topic, what is the root of anti-semitism, trying to look beyond simplistic notions of jealousy and Jews being the chosen people and all…
look up obscurantism…as one of the previous poster mentioned, Historically, jews have perceived themselves as jews first, and polish/french etc…second. their dietary restrictions meant their interaction with non-jews was very limited.
While most business deals would take place around meals, jews would rarely attend dinner at a non-jewish due to very specific dietary needs. combined with the fact that they had very little alliegance or sense of loyalty to the country where they lived led many to become suspicious of jews…they ate different, they stuck together, they would not come into your house, and in return they would not receive u into theirs….basically, it was perceived that jews were secretive and therefore suspicious. Were they purposely secretive? no…lifestyle and rules governing their activities forced them to adopt the kind of lifestyle which kept them separate from "society"…this according to the author contributed in big part to the rise of antisemitism in Europe, which then spread around.
As to perceived anti-semitism in the middle-east, well that is very simply said, a result of the creation of Israel. prior to Israel being created, Jews, Muslims, and Christians lived perfectly well, until the Brits and the UN decided to give a piece of land to ONE group exclusively causing what has bcoming now known as one of the worst humanitarian disasters in recent history.

How do people expect Israel to stop fighting if Hamas does not honor a ceasefire when there is one?

March 9th, 2010

When there was an agreement to stop fighting yesterday in Israel so that food and aid could be sent to civilians on both sides, Hamas shot over 10 rockets at them.
What kind of mess is that?

And by the way I am not jewish.

1. Israel is occupying Palestine land. Remind you the country of entire Israel is sitting on Palestine after forcefully removed Palestines from their homes.

2. Israel placed blockade on Gaza for years. That means food, and basic items shortage.

3. If I kicked you out of your house by force, killed your sister in process….and now I live in your house, and you sleep in your backyard. And i shoot anyone who dare to deliver food to your family because I placed a blockade on you. Now you want to throw stone at me, but I warn you if you do so i will shoot your dad. Is it fair? Because you threw that stone at "my" house first. It gives me every right to shoot you terrorists back with a gun.

4. One day, my itch finger pulled the trigger, and a bullet shot your brother. However, I control the media. Everyone knows you threw stone at me first because the media said so. (if you still don’t get it, Israel started it first even this incident. Hamas never fired first. Media can easily fill your brain with false basic information).
